Insight
Loneliness is a leading cause of death among the elderly, with a lack of intergenerational communication being a significant factor. By leveraging the tradition of gossip and storytelling in Hispanic culture, this project provides a platform for both younger caregivers and older generations to share stories, advice, and connect.
Action
Created a local Latin gossip newspaper and podcast, blending physical media with digital platforms. The publication uses Spanglish copy and features community stories, advice, and cultural content to connect multi-generational audiences. This approach merges traditional communication with modern technology to build bonds and combat isolation.
La publicación
The Latin gossip newspaper, written in Spanglish, combines traditional stories with modern perspectives to engage multiple generations. Each edition features family stories and cultural insights, making it an accessible and relevant read for both younger and older audiences, while connecting the past with the present.
El Pódcast
Hosted by a mother-daughter duo, the podcast brings the newspaper’s content to life with lively discussions and personal stories. It bridges generational gaps, offering a platform for both young and old to connect, share, and engage in a fun and interactive way.
