Problem/Objective
The leading cause of death among the elderly has been linked to loneliness. This project aims to combat isolation by establishing a sense of multi-generational community through storytelling and gossip — a cherished tradition in Hispanic culture.
Result/Response
Created a newspaper and podcast duo that is personalized per county, users are able to mail in their neighborhood gossip anonymously and will soon have stories delivered to their door that may just be a little hotter than abuelitas morning brew.
What did I do?
Developed the brand identity, designed the newspaper layout, created engaging copy in Spanglish, and strategized the digital presence to connect younger caregivers and their elders.
Focused on blending the old (physical newspaper, storytelling) with the new (digital platforms and radio shows) to bridge generational gaps.
